Historia being pregnant is so beyond repulsive it makes me feel sick. I thought at most having heirs would be discussed but not actually happen. When I first checked for spoilers I was sure people were kidding about Historia being pregnant. I’ve never been utterly gaga about her like some others but she had one of the best glo-ups of the whole cast. Being reduced to a baby machine is insulting as hell. Especially with the mantra Ymir gave her of living for herself. Also I can’t stand the SC anymore they’re comically overpowered and I don’t care about their feelings even as much as I like dark hobo Eren. 

Bertholdt is basically a prop to Armin’s development and background decor in flashbacks. Plus the fact that we’ve had major Reiner development (which I love don’t get me wrong please) and inevitable Annie development while Bertholdt is what, used as a post mortem angst machine for Armin? All the while we’re only shown tidbits of Reiner missing him while fucking Sasha gets mourned right away. We even got confirmation from Isa himself about Levi burying Erwin’s bones but NOTHING about what Reiner’s done other than being shown him missing him twice. 

OH and who cares about Bert’s family, it’s not like he was a major antagonist and series mascot or anything why does his family or FUCKING MOTIVATION FOR BEING A WARRIOR even need to be given a second thought? Instead let’s have a shitty Gary Stu who like totally understands what it feels like to have to use the colossal titan and has sad eyes and can use big nukes too. What was Bertholdt’s being described as a natural talent even for? To show how amazing Armin is because zomg he can control it just like Bertholdt because he’s so special uwu coconut boy? Really seems like it. 

I’ve only been in the fandom a year but it’s been almost two years since Bertholdt died in real time and still nothing by blue-balling. I mean I’m glad other people still think he’ll be relevant but I can’t stand the fact he’s forever tied to a character I fucking hate (Armin). I tried so hard to remain optimistic but jeeeeeeeez things keep getting worse and looking worse. 

And no fandom, one can’t just treat certain characters like trash and or regress their development because ‘oh it’s a sad story that’s just what happens.’ Or my favorite: ‘characters die in a story that makes it realistic’ as if that’s any excuse.
