20: favorite character to write
Bertl. I have a such a special connection with him.
27: best review you ever got
Oh there’s no one best review, but I die whenever someone says my characterization is good.
20: hardest part of writing
Showing not telling.
46: share a scene of a story that you haven’t published yet
Okay forgive my horrific first draft writing:
-
Their plan was as devious as any teenagers, ordering sodas at the boardwalk’s kiosks and spiking it.
“Can I at least have a sip?” Eren asked Reiner.
“No.”
“Please? I just want to know what it tastes like.”
“Double no.”
“Says the guy who helped me get around the parental blocks on the cable.”
“It actually tastes great,” Marcel said, licking his lips. “Guess I’m one of those people who likes the taste.”
Eren clenched his fists. “Oh yeah? I bet I’d like it too if you just let me have some.”
Oh no, Bertholdt thought. It’s started.
“Galliard? Annie? Please?”
“Eren,” Mikasa scolded.
“Ugh.”
Eren hadn’t asked Bertholdt for a sip. He was slightly offended. Because straight-lace Bertholdt would never do such a thing?
That was crap. Meek, obedient Bertholdt was over with.
“Here you go, Eren,” Bertholdt said, handing him to styrofoam cup.
“Bertholdt!” Reiner exclaimed as did the others.
Eren took a tentative sip.
“Relax, it’s not gonna get him blackout drunk.”
“I’m gonna tell Zeke,” Galliard said.
“Snitches get stitches,” Reiner said.
Eren handed the drink back, fighting a grimace. “It’s–it’s good.”
“Liar,” Marcel said.
“It is! I like it!”
“Don’t think so.”
“I can so handle weird-tasting stuff. Come on, I’ll order everything I can from the menus here. Spicy, bitter, sour. You just watch.”
“Fine. I’ll do it too.”
Great. Now the night would end with the two getting their stomachs pumped.
